Vilakazi Street Festival New Years Eve
Nescafé continues to ignite inspiration and opportunity by merging poetry, music and coffee in an innovatively creative space. On December 31st the mother of all parties takes over the iconic Vilakazi Street, Soweto to celebrate the roll out of the New Year. Vilakazi Street, a winding road rich in history that attracts tourists from around the world and locals alike, to experience its ambiance of authenticity and community. The only street in the world to house two Noble Peace laureates, this heritage site plans to accommodate the much-anticipated Vilakazi Street Festival.
The Vilakazi Street festivals, plans to glorify some of our top-notch local artists as well as magnify the best of Soweto’s up and coming talent. The musical appearances will be a throw back of the performances that have graced the NESCAFÈ Red Mug Stage. The line up includes Tumi and the Volume, Khuli Chana, HHP, Reason and Akio. Featured artists who will also be sharing their musical endeavors are Hlengiwe, Stat P, Tressor and Melo B.
The Festival promises to tackle all the senses where Nescafé will treat guests with a passionate heart felt offering of music, drinks, food and an all round ‘chill-out’ atmosphere before ushering into the New Year.
