Former President Thabo Mbeki has urged the African National Congress
to address corruption and factionalism within the political party. Mbeki was speaking at the funeral service of the late struggle stalwart Andrew Mlangeni, who was the last, of the Rivonia Triallists. The former President called on the ANC to convene a conference to specifically deal with
corruption, saying it is no longer the same party it was over 25 years ago. Mbeki also issued a stern warning to the ANC, saying if it does not address corruption and factionalism, it could deteriorate even more over the years.
